DAY EIGHT

In your own space, create a love meme for yourself. Let people tell you how amazing and awesome and loveable you really are.

I was hesitant to do this one as I do not believe in any way I deserve even the smallest bit of praise but if for some ungodly reason you do, feel free to comment below. But don't feel pressured! Please.

DAY NINE

In your own space, rec at least 3 fanworks you thought you wouldn't like (because they weren't your fandom or they pushed against your boundaries or you thought you just wouldn't be interested) but you ended up loving.

so maybe lydia's just as enraptured with the new girl as the rest of the school. allison/lydia. r.

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this fic mainly because while I ship Allison/Lydia, I don't ship it ship it, you know? I feel like in some fandoms you have (or at least I have) your "main" ship. That's the ship you actively look for fic for, that's the ship you check in the relationship on AO3. You have other ships and you enjoy the idea of them and you may have read fic with them as a side pairing and enjoyed it, but they still aren't your main ship. This is what it is like for me and since Allison/Lydia are not that ship for me, I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to read an entire fic just about them. But I am so glad I did! It captivates me from the very beginning with an extremely insightful look on season 1!Lydia and the development of her relationship with Allison. Plus, (slight spoilers past this parenthesis) ladies touching themselves while thinking of other ladies ftw.

for all he’s bounced around, though, clint’s never been alone. clint/natasha, clint/coulson. teen up and audiences.

I was wary of reading this fic because unlike majority of the population I do not ship Clint/Natasha. I think it was what both of them needed at that point in time but it would have never worked. I usually prefer to read fics where Clint/Natasha is a thing of the very (very) distant past and they've melded into this sort of dynamic duo. This fic was not like that. The affect of Natasha and her relationship in this fic were new and fresh, yet I still thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved the development of Clint and Coulson's relationship and the subtle signs of them inching towards something more. I also really loved how it was clear that Clint and Natasha had their fair share of issues but so did Natasha and Coulson. And I absolutely adored the Clint/Natasha/Coulson team dynamic (and Clint's anxiety about how being in The Avengers would affect it.)

stan has to pull over and breathe, completely aware for the first time in his life that this could be the end of something he really believed was forever. stan/kyle. pg-13.

My hesitation upon whether or not to read this should be obvious as...it's South Park. But [livejournal.com profile] pinkfishnets owns my soul, so. This fic made really got to me, like I think I ended up almost crying at one point? And I wanted to run to twitter to capslock it all out but didn't because of shame. But then again, my friends have read Hitler fic so hey.

this is what happens when you randomly google one of your fic titles, apparently. i'm really glad you enjoyed but life, it can blind you, even though it's in such a random fandom (i felt the same way when i fell into the south park spiral, and i've never actually been able to get out again) ♥
