this is the jackie/eric that 70's show fusion that i had no idea i needed and i'm so eternally grateful to @jeffgoldblumvevo.ao3 for writing it for me. they have spoiled me (they also wrote me the m'gann/conner fic of my dreams for npt last year.) eric and jackie fit so well into nate and sophie's roles. i'm still in awe that @jeffgoldblumvevo.ao3 came up with this idea in the first place. it translates the show and the characters into the leverage universe so wonderfully. and the tension between eric and jackie is delicious. i can't reccommend this enough. 

also, i think this serves as a wonderful entry point to the eric/jackie shipping universe, if you want to join us. just saying. 
 

PINING EXCHANGE
i somehow always seems to luck out in exchanges. i got two other gifts along side @jeffgoldblumvevo.ao3's aforementioned gift. this year, i somehow lucked out again and got four (4!) gifts for @piningexchange.

if we ever had one, i stomped it in to the ground before i even knew what i was passing by.

@pornbot.ao3 wrote me this wonderful pre-relationship fic featuring one of my all time favorite things: a pining draco malfoy. i loved draco's career here and the appearances of other canon characters!

this text uses surviving documents written by queen consort annabelle of conte and lady eleanor of roxby to trace how eleanor of roxby became the woman referred to by king michael i as my mother’s wife, buried with the queen consort and named on the royal proclamation of 1320 decriminalising homosexually.

i adore media that uses epistolary and mixed media as a format and a lovely anon wrote me this incredible historical ofc/ofc fic about a queen trapped in a loveless marriage/her lover's mistress. it's not the story you would expect from that pairing though! at least it wasn't what i first thought off. it's entirely original and equally heart-wrenching and hopeful. mind the warnings though, anon tagged for marital rape but i would also say it has some realistic elements of various other things you might expect from realistic historical media. i think if you're alright with game of thrones you'd probably be okay, but i haven't seen all of game of thrones, only know various bits of canon through cultural osmosis, so take that with a grain of salt.

princess consort annabelle falls for her husband’s mistress, isabella - a favoured younger cousin of king patrick. her marriage is as political one, not a happy one, meant to unite the northern borderlands whose loyalty is split between her husband and king patrick and for her husband to dally with his favoured cousin is an insult that threatens both her and iabella’s families.

the aforementioned anon also wrote me a lovely little remix of the above fic, this time with the main character, annabelle, falling for a different mistress of her husband's!

jackie asks eric for a favor. 

fake dating! fake dating! fake dating! except, it's more like practicing fake dating and then, of course, real feelings get involved. such a cute fic that made my heart incredibly happy.  

RARE PAIR SHORTS

finally, after what feels like forever, george and lee find the chance to explore the new energies between them.

bedsharing! forced proximity! pining! these are a few of my favorite things! @kiertorata.lj wrote me this wonderful fic about george and lee during the summer between george's sixth and seventh year. this is hilarious and sweet in equal measure. absolutely wonderful.

supporting quidditch player!ginny at the world cup, mentions of ginny/luna, clever wordplay, and ust between neville and charlie, what's not to love?

neville hung his head low and he didn't turn around to face charlie for what charlie thought was forever. it wasn't supposed to be like this. it wasn't supposed to be this complicated. 

i'm a sucker for secret relationships and @digthewriter writes these two so well. i loved all the emotion throughout the fic but especially the pining.
