This fic fits with the category because it focuses on a romantic relationship between two people who are related.

Summary: It's not Christmas but Boxing Day that hits him hardest.
Rating: PG
George and Luna bond over the loss of their loved ones in this and in this case both of their loved ones were extremely close to them. While losing someone close to you isn't exactly uncommon it isn't exactly common either. It fits with the theme because no one else really knows the loss that they have to deal with, and so they're kind of excluded from society at large.

Summary: James was the only one who could even vaguely remember having a home, having a normal life.

This is an HP/Supernatural fusion and if you know anything about Supernatural you know it focuses on two brothers who travel across the country hunting and killing demons. They mostly live in motels and beloved Car. James Sirius, Lily, and Albus were raised this way in the AU. Living in motels, or out of a car, is something frowned upon by society and by hunting creatures that majority of people don't believe exist, the group have become ostracized.

Anyone born with an illness is ostracized by society. In this fic Harry is going blind and blindness is one of the illnesses that extremely affects a person's ability to included.

This fic fits the theme because it's about how ostracizing it can be to identify as something other than straight in a male dominated profession and how quips of derogatory language are often used to be insulting the player's ability, but insult other's humanity.

This fic has a couple of tropes I think fall under the category. Firstly, homosexuality in athletics, injured athletics, a male doing a typically female profession, and differing social classes, all of which are ostracizing in their own way.

Mike knows the feeling of being ostracized extremely well in this AU, for he is a runaway, which is an extremely lonely. It is so lonely in fact that runaways/homeless people will often go for days without having any human contact.
