in your own space, create your own challenge. what’s something you want to see more people doing in fandom? is there something fun you’ve tried that you think other people would enjoy if they gave it a go? dare your friends to try it out, and have fun with it.

i thought about this for a bit and i guess my challenge would have to be experiment. try something you wouldn't normally go for. if you're mainly a fic author, try making a batch of icons or a fanvid. write a pairing or fandom you've never written for before. watch a show or movie that isn't your usual style. read a pairing you hadn't considered, try a challenge, join a new comm, anything! just experiment. do something you've never done before. this year i participated in landcomms for the first time and i absolutely love it.

in the past i've pushed myself outside of my comfort zone by experimenting with different styles and techniques. i once wrote a criminal minds fic as a cinquain, in my creative writing class we had to write a sestina. it really pushes you! here are some things you might wanna try:
