“Miss Lopez?” Charlotte answered the phone, frowning. 

 

“I stood up to Pierce! And he apologized! And he’s taking me to dinner to make up for it! Anyway, it’s not a date but like it’s not not a date, you know? So...” Ella scanned the phone down her body. “How do I look?” 

 

Even through the shitty quality of the FaceTime call, it was clear Ella looked incredible. Her form-fitting dress was short enough to show off her gloriously long legs and low-cut enough to dry Charlotte’s mouth. 

 

“Like sin incarnate.”

 

“That’s a good thing, right?”

 

“It’s a very good thing.”
