in your own space, share a favorite piece of original canon (a tv episode, a song, a favorite interview, a book, a scene from a movie, etc) and explain why you love it so much.
i initially wasn't sure what to do for this since i love so many things, and i even started writing about a different thing before this one, but the words weren't flowing so i thought, what can i talk about for days on end? and then it came to me: taylor swift. more specifically, her 2014 album 1989.
1989 was taylor's fifth album and is tied for my favorite album of hers (with red as its completion.) i have listened to this album more times than i can even count. i used to listen to it every single day while picking up my sister from school. i think it's not only one of her best lyrically but sonically and i think it's one of the most cohesive albums of hers.
i love almost every single song on the album and even if there are one or two tracks i don't love as much of the others, there are still lines within those songs that i adore.
one song in particular i want to highlight is you are in love. this song just feels like love to me. if i could have a relationship like the one depicted in any of her songs, this would be the one i want. you can feel the love radiating through this song. t's not only my favorite taylor love song, i genuinely believe it's one of the best love songs ever written. here are some of my top lines from the song but i strongly encourage you to listen to the entire thing.

i've been working on this for years. granted it's only 1.8k words and relatively simple because it's based off an old 1_sentence prompt table i had but it felt so good to finally have a finished product.
↳for the next one, i'm gonna cheat a little and say my entire picspam-a-rooney series because i worked really hard on those. especially this, this, and this one.
↳and lastly, can i say majority of the icons in this set?

i love anything that falls under the 'angst with a happy ending' category and fake/pretend relationship fits there perfectly. i adore all iterations of this trope. the fics where the ship is already friends, or acquaintances, or enemies and have to pretend to be together and one (or both) of them is secretly pining for the other the whole time. the ones where the ship are strangers but agree to a pretend relationship because of ~reasons and end up falling for each other. there's just something about the tension and pining that gets me. i'm a big fan of seemingly unrequited pining. here, have some recs:
