i knew i tended to start with dialogue because i find dialogue so much easier than description (most of my fics are actually written dialogue first and then i go in and add descriptors, speech tags, etc.) but i hadn't realized in medias res-ed so often! i don't think i see any other patterns but let me know if you see a pattern i don't!
